Scion Esports is a Lake Charles, Louisiana based home-grown esports organization funded by Lake Charles Toyota that has been producing gaming events in Louisiana for the past decade. Here’s a little bit about who we are and what we do, in the form of a couple easy questions we teed up for ourselves. * Ever wanted to be the pilot of the giant robot?
* Have you played MechWarrior, MechAssault or other high-tech wargames and wanted to know what it REALLY feels like to pilot a ‘Mech?

You’ve got 75 tons of futuristic fighting machine at your fingertips. You punch the throttle forward and your BattleMech strides out into high noon of the planet Solaris VII. On the horizon, you spot an opponent’s ‘Mech darting around the blasted ruins of a building. It’s your best friend, the one that took your last energy drink!
You slide your crosshairs onto their ‘Mech, squeeze the trigger, and parts fly from a boiling fireball! As your ‘Mech’s feet scatter the ashes of your friend’s ‘Mech, you scan the area for other enemies, but you know that your friend will be back… and payback is hell…. you’re just glad you brought the credit card.
MechCorps BattleTech delivers adrenaline-pumping action. Every moment counts as you control a three-story tall, 75-ton, walking tank, blasting your way to victory. From the moment you spot TeslaII_pod_interioran opponent on your radar screen to the explosive battles, you are exhilarated. Enjoy the hunt for prey in a futuristic wasteland from inside our BattleMech Cockpit Simulator Pods.
During CyPhaCon, go up against live and AI opponents in team or free-for-all mayhem. BattleTech is not hide and seek, it’s seek and destroy.
A short training session will get you ready for battle. Afterwards, you can talk smack while enjoying a mission review video of your battle and comparing your scoresheet to the other pilots in your mission.
Gulf Coast Gaming
Gulf Coast Gaming Events provides tabletop gaming content for conventions and local events. Their complete library currently has over 2,500 tabletop games that can be checked out and played for FREE while you are at the event. These games include board games, role playing games, miniature games, war games, card games, dice games, simple games, complex games, single player games, party games, children’s games, 18+ games, and much more!
Not familiar with many games? The Gulf Coast Gaming Events demo crew is made up of some of the nicest men and women in the region and range in age from teenagers to their sixties and everything in between. These passionate demo reps are skilled in the art of teaching players of all skill levels how to play all types of games. There are often representatives from different game companies, independent demo personnel, and small local game designers, all waiting to teach you how to play their games. Demo staff will vary based on the event and location.
Gulf Coast Gaming Events also coordinates and runs Play-to-Win sections at conventions. These Play-to-Win games are checked out and played during the event and on the last day, they are given away to electronically selected winners drawn from the people who actually played the game during the event.
