CYPHACON'S home

What makes the Event Center Special?

Built in 1972, the Lake Charles Civic Center is in the heart of Downtown Lake Charles. Conveniently located right off Interstate 10 and connecting to the beautiful lake front, the Civic Center offers the Lake Charles area a unique facility to host CYPHACON.

The facility is one of kind in how the venue is laid out. On the south side is the expansive and beautiful Rosa Hart Theater. The theater is a 2000 seat auditorium with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems and can allow musical and standard performances on stage.

The center of the entire complex is the core of the facility which includes the Exhibition Hall on the first floor. Second floor contains 3 glass rooms, mezzanine, and the largest ballroom the Contraband Room. On the 3rd floor is the Buccaneer room which can be separated into 3 full rooms, and the Lafitte Room.

Finally on the North side of the building is the Sudduth Coliseum which is a 7500-seat stadium which can house a large assortment of exhibition style setups.

So why is this building so well suited to a convention? Simply put, the Event Center can handle CYPHACON and its continually growing footprint.

For the first time in 2022 CYPHACON will be utilizing the entire Lake Charles Event Center making this event the first to use the entire facility for an entire weekend.
