Laurie Holden

Laurie Holden is an accomplished actress and producer whose career spans film, television, and theater. Early in her career, she gained recognition with roles opposite Burt Reynolds in Physical Evidence, Vanessa Redgrave in Young Catherine (1991), and William Shatner in the television film TekWar: TekLab (1994). She also portrayed Mabel Dunham in The Pathfinder (1996), based on the novel by James Fenimore Cooper. On stage, Holden has appeared in notable productions including Time and the Conways, The Winter’s Tale, Ghosts (as Regina), and The Love of the Nightingale (as Procne).

Following guest appearances on series such as Due South, Murder, She Wrote, and Poltergeist: The Legacy, Holden achieved widespread recognition for her recurring role as Marita Covarrubias on the landmark science-fiction series The X-Files (1996–2002). She also played Mary Travis in The Magnificent Seven (1998–2000) and appeared in Highlander: The Series.

Holden received critical acclaim starring opposite Jim Carrey in Frank Darabont’s The Majestic (2001), where she portrayed his character’s long-lost love. Her film work also includes Bailey’s Billion$, Fantastic Four (2005), Silent Hill (2006), and The Mist (2007). In 2008, she joined the final season of The Shield as Olivia Murray.

From 2010 to 2013, Holden starred as Andrea, a civil rights attorney and survivor of a global apocalypse, on AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead. She later appeared in Major Crimes, Dumb and Dumber To—playing the film’s main antagonist Adele Pinchelow—and Chicago Fire. Her later work includes roles on The Americans, the indie thriller Pyewacket, Dragged Across Concrete, and Fox’s legal drama Proven Innocent.

In 2022, Holden joined season three of The Boys as Crimson Countess, also showcasing her musical talents by performing the songs “America’s Son” and “Chimps Don’t Cry.” In addition to acting, she has worked as an executive producer, including on the film Honeytrap.
